Bio
Chris Moncrief, born and raised in the Bronx, NY, brings the energy and resilience of his roots to every aspect of his work. As the founder of The Kyndred Company, a social impact strategy firm, Chris is dedicated to empowering nonprofits, startups, and local governments through design, strategy, and innovation. His work focuses on tackling complex challenges like bridging culture and technology, equitable wealth generation, education reform, and housing development—often in spaces that need these resources but don’t always have access to them.
In addition to his work with Kyndred, Chris founded Nice Things, an events startup that supports emerging artists of color. Through nationwide tours and curated experiences, Nice Things creates opportunities for underrepresented talent to showcase their creativity, build meaningful connections, and grow their audiences.
With a background as an innovation consultant, education advocate, digital strategist, and impact strategist, Chris blends big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. Starting in education innovation, he expanded his focus to broader societal challenges, applying his expertise in design and strategy to drive meaningful change. His work bridges culture and technology, ensuring marginalized communities have access to the tools they need to thrive. Whether improving learning environments or addressing equity, his goal remains the same: to help people live lives they will love, while working to make sure the world loves them back.
